Project Duration

6 weeks (assuming 3 sessions per week, 1 hour each)

Main Objective

To understand and appreciate cultural diversity within the school community through collaborative problem-solving activities focused on inclusion.

Present

15 minutes

• Pose reflection question: "What does cultural diversity mean to you?"
• Share short stories or videos illustrating diverse cultures in schools.

Stimulate initial thinking and awareness about cultural diversity.

Collect

20 minutes

• Brainstorm: Students share what they already know about different cultures in their school.
• Create a mind map on the board to visualize prior knowledge.

Activate prior knowledge, encourage sharing, and set a baseline.

Formulate

25 minutes

• Define the core problem: "How can we promote inclusion and respect for diverse cultures in our school?"
• Discuss and write problem statements in small groups.

Clarify the challenge; develop a focused problem statement.

Organize

30 minutes

• Form teams of 4-5 students.
• Assign roles: researcher, communicator, designer, presenter.
• Set tasks: survey peers, research cultural traditions, plan activities.

Build
